  • Breast Cancer

  • Thyroid Cancer

Dr Parikh provides comprehensive surgical care for patients with thyroid cancer, from assessment and diagnosis through to surgery and follow-up. Treatment is individualised and planned in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Thyroid Nodules

Thyroid nodules are common and most are benign. Dr Parikh can assess thyroid nodules, arrange or review ultrasound and biopsy results, and discuss whether ongoing surveillance or surgery is appropriate.

  • Hyperthyroidism

An overactive thyroid can cause a range of symptoms and may be due to conditions such as Graves’ disease or toxic thyroid nodules. Dr Parikh provides surgical assessment and thyroid surgery when this is the most appropriate treatment option.

  • Hyperparathyroidism

Overactive parathyroid glands can lead to high calcium levels and affect the bones, kidneys and general wellbeing. Dr Parikh provides assessment and surgical treatment of hyperparathyroidism, including complex and re-operative parathyroid surgery.

  • Goitre

An enlarged thyroid may cause neck swelling, pressure symptoms or difficulty swallowing and can sometimes extend into the chest. Dr Parikh can assess your goitre and discuss whether observation or surgical treatment is appropriate.

  • Adrenal Tumours

Adrenal tumours may be discovered incidentally or cause symptoms through excess hormone production. Dr Parikh has dedicated subspecialty training in adrenal surgery and provides assessment and minimally invasive surgical treatment where appropriate.
